About Caroline Shropshire, PA-C

Caroline joined Digestive Health Specialists in June 2023. She is a born and raised Kentuckian who has found a second home in the beautiful state of North Carolina. She completed her undergraduate training with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health at Elon University in 2014 and her PA training at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana, in May 2021, where she earned a Master of Physician Assistant Science. Following graduation, she took a position in inpatient gastroenterology and hepatology in Columbia, South Carolina, in 2022. While she enjoyed the hospital setting, she longed to be closer to family in North Carolina and jumped at the opportunity to join this healthy, thriving GI practice in Winston-Salem.

Caroline is a member of AAPA and the American College of Gastroenterology.

Outside of her work, her hobbies include attending plays and musicals, reading, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. She has a 17-year-old cat named Lola.
