About Murat Akdamar, MD

Dr. Murat Akdamar joined Digestive Health Specialists in 2007. He has a wide variety of GI interests and skills with previous experience in both hospital and office settings.

He received his medical degree from the Tulane University of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana where he was born and raised. He completed both his Residency and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has been practicing in Birmingham since 2006. He enjoys all general Gastroenterology, with an emphasis on the prevention of liver and pancreaticobiliary disorders.
