Doctor David Ramsay Named Fellow of the AGA

We are happy to announce that Dr. David Ramsay has been named Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the nation’s oldest, and most prestigious medical society dedicated to disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Through the fellowship program, AGA honors superior professional achievement in clinical, private, or academic practice and in basic or clinical research. Fellowships are awarded to AGA members whose accomplishments and contributions demonstrate a personal commitment to the field of gastroenterology.

Dr. Ramsay has been with Digestive Health Specialists since 2012, currently serving the Winston-Salem and Thomasville areas. He obtained his medical degree from East Carolina University and completed his residency and gastroenterologist fellowship at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington DC. Dr. Ramsay serves on the Executive Committee of the National Board of Directors for the Digestive Health Physician Association and the Digestive Health Network. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. His clinical interests include reflux disease and esophageal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, liver disease, and colorectal cancer prevention.
