We are excited to announce that our Ultrasound Department here at Digestive Health Specialists received accreditation once again this year through the ACR (American College of Radiology). This accreditation comes after being surveyed by the Committee on Ultrasound Accreditation of the Commission on Quality and Safety and will stand for three years. We want to highlight and congratulate the leader of our Ultrasound Department, Kelli Gobble,RDMS, RVT, RDCS for providing over 20 years of dedicated service and quality care to our patients. Having ultrasound services available here at our Winston Salem office is extremely convenient for patients and allows us to provide even more thorough digestive care. We look forward to providing this service for many years to come.

The American College of Radiology awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of its practice. Image quality and procedure evaluations are conducted by board-certified radiologists and medical physicists who are experts in the field.

The program also evaluates personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs. All findings are reported to the practice via a comprehensive report that includes recommendations for improvement.

• Your health care provider has voluntarily gone through a rigorous review process to be sure it meets nationally-accepted standards
• The personnel are well qualified, through education and certification, to perform and interpret your medical images.
