About Jeremy Gillespie, MD
Dr. Jeremy Gillespie was born in Kettering, Ohio, and grew up in a nearby town called Xenia, OH. He attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH for both his undergraduate and medical school training from 2003-2011. In college, he majored in Nutritional Biochemistry and Metabolism, which cultivated an ongoing interest in combining nutrition education with his medical training. After graduating from medical school, he attended Duke University Hospital for his residency in Internal Medicine. He completed the program in 2014 and practiced independently as a hospitalist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago for seven years before returning to Duke University Hospital to complete his fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2024. During that time, he pursued additional training in clinical nutrition through Duke’s Clinical Nutrition Fellowship Program. Dr. Gillespie looks forward to applying this training to enhance his care of all his patients across a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases and disorders.
When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, friends, and family. He has hobbies which include hiking, cooking, and photography.
