Our Infusion Center offers a variety of treatments for Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and other conditions requiring infusion therapy.  Our infusion nurses are committed to providing high-quality infusion care in a warm, caring environment to meet each patient’s needs for compassion and comfort.  Depending on the type of infusion you are receiving, your stay at the Infusion Center may be as little as 45 minutes or as long as 3 hours.

Insurance Pre-Authorization

Most infusions require pre-authorization from your insurance company.  Our billing department will check your insurance benefits for the prescribed infusion therapy and will contact you with benefits and payment information.  We accept most insurance plans and will file your claims for you.  Please notify us of any insurance policy changes immediately so we can check your benefits to avoid any delay in your infusion treatment schedule.  To contact our billing department, please call 336-765-4090 Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Checking in for Infusions

Since infusion medications vary in administration times and we schedule appointments based on these anticipated administration times, you need to be on time for your scheduled appointment.  Please check in to our Winston Salem location, Suite 200.

  • Semi-private infusion spaces with lots of windows that provides relaxing natural light
  • Personal TVs with wireless headsets
  • Relaxing, comfortable recliners
  • WiFi Internet Access
  • Pillows and blankets
  • Complimentary assortment of hot and cold beverages

Preparing for Your Treatment

Please drink plenty of fluids the day before your infusion appointment.  Feel free to bring anything to help you pass the time – books, computers, cell phones, magazines, etc.  Temperatures fluctuate in the Infusion Center, so consider dressing in layers.  We have blankets available also.  You are welcome to bring snacks for yourself, but in consideration of other patients, we encourage foods with little or no odor.

Questions and Concerns

Please feel free to discuss any questions or issues with your infusion nurse.  If she is unable to answer your questions, she will relay them to your doctor and get an answer back to you as soon as possible.
